CLINTON STREET

A Victorian 3 bedroom 3 story mid terrace property located in Beeston.

A Victorian 3 bedroom 3 story mid terrace property located in Beeston. The homeowner approached me after many years of “thinking” about what she would like changing in her home. Happy to find a small business that would design and manage the changes she wanted to make to her home, the main aim of this project was to give her youngest son a bigger bedroom.

  • By moving the first floor bathroom downstairs, we were able to increase the size of the third bedroom to a good size double. We moved the kitchen into the dining room, and fitted a new bathroom in the same location as the old kitchen. Carefully planned and closely project managed, we worked quickly to install the ground floor bathroom to ensure that the family was still able to live at the house whilst the work was being carried out. By opening up the chimney stack, we revealed the opening and utilised this area to fit the extractor, hob and oven there.

  • The homeowner had a love for warm colours like terracotta, mustard yellow and rusty reds. She loved kitsch design, and retro furniture. She wanted a new kitchen that felt traditional, and for the design to mix retro furniture with super modern appliances.

  • This project is a superb example of the type of significant internal alterations Spruce Interiors is able to carry out as an Interior Design company. Designing and managing the installation and procurement of a bathroom and kitchen within a short period of time. From rip out in January to completion just in time for Easter, the changes carried out to the property have been significant.

We have laid new flooring throughout, carried out a full electrical rewire with new consumer unit, altered all interior and exterior plumbing which included grounds work to be completed in the courtyard outside. The boiler pipework and flu position was altered, the chimney was opened up and made deeper to house the extraction, hob and oven, all walls were plastered, and radiators repositioned.

My team of highly skilled and hard working contractors fitted a beautiful bathroom and kitchen, complete with a bespoke under stairs cupboard that houses the washing machine and hidden storage. Every inch of these two areas were thoroughly considered, with complimentary colour palettes to allow both spaces to flow effortlessly throughout. Contemporary design with a nod to my clients love for retro and eclectic homeware, I designed a space that allowed my homeowner to take pride in her interests and a colour palette to compliment her personality and sense of style.
