CHARLBURY ROAD

HALLWAY PROJECTS

A warm and welcoming entrance hallway.

  • To create a space that was inviting and welcoming, so that when guests come to visit the house the entrance hallway reflects the clients personalities and sense of style.

  • One of the major problems with the hallway was the carpeted entrance, lighting and poor joinery fitted around the doors and walls. There was an ugly electrical cupboard by the front door, no where to put keys or post on entry and light switches in the wrong place. The living room next door to the hallway suffered from a poor layout too with too many doors and windows for a small space. By blocking off the door into the hallway, my client was able to have a proper 3 seater sofa in there, and it stopped the living room from becoming a through room and space to store things.

  • To add a welcoming colour that complimented the rest of the house, the hallway was painted in a dusky pink with accents of white, coral and red. The LVT flooring and carpets had a grey undertone so to compliment the colour palette. The LVT ran from the hallway into the kitchen, dining room and living room as one continuous flooring which helped the rooms to flow and connect on the ground floor. By hanging the door the other way around, we stopped the doors from clashing against one another. The design also took into account the new staircase that was fitted by the builder for the attic access. Colours from the bedroom and attic en-suite complimented the hallway design to ensure a subtle flow from one space to the other.

“Sarah is a fantastic interior designer, she knows so much about what will look good together.”

“Sarah is a fantastic interior designer, she knows so much about what will look good together. She really opened our eyes to lots of new styles and brands. The colours, furniture, spatial layout and product recommendations are absolutely fantastic. The rooms are completely transformed and I can’t believe how beautiful the house is.

The hallway has been a complete transformation. We love the colours that Sarah has chosen and never would have come up with pink ourselves but we love it. It feels a treat to welcome people into our home through the hallway and it really has a wow factor. The light fittings go so well and really bring the room to life. ”
