LUXURY BAR

Basement bar design for luxury home.

My client wanted a luxury bar for their basement that reflected the same look and feel as the rest of their house.
A blank canvas, with a fireplace that needed some consideration. All sockets were in, with provisions for lighting, albeit in the wrong place. Ceramic floors and gold simulating machine remained the same, but everything else in the room could be changed.
Dark and moody, impactful, luxurious and dramatic. This design scheme was to be lifted with clever use of lighting and reflective surfaces. Warm neutrals run throughout the space with pops of ochre and teal.
In such a big space, I wanted to make it feel cozy and intimate for when they had friends over to entertain. A party room, with a seating capacity for 14, a seating area to watch the football from and lots of floor space for dancing the night away. With a subtle nod to the Art Deco era using linear wall panelling to define the space, curved mirrors, furniture, chairs and fluted details in the bar, sofa and lighting.
