WYSALL LANE

YOUNG ADULTS BEDROOM

A bachelor style bedroom using blue, grey & black.

  • The eldest son wanted a space that felt like a bachelor pad, a place he could bring his mates back, sink a few beers in his bedroom, watch sports on TV and sleep in in the mornings.

Turning 19, he wanted a room with blues and greys, something masculine and stylish. He was 100% sure he wanted a black en-suite, something you don’t often get asked for as a designer, but a space I absolutely loved designing.

My client had two spacious rooms for each of their children, as a new build, I came on this project when this room wasn’t even built so a lot of the design work was conceptualising the space using visualisations and moodboards.

  • The design for this room was carried our whilst the house was being built, so I had some flexibility in the second fix electrics to ensure that the lights I had specified work with the size and shape of the room. On this project I worked alongside the clients builders and contractors, and supplied my own decorator to carry out the ombre wall.

  • We went all out in this bedroom, giving him a sprayed Ombre effect wall behind his bed, a pattern tiled border, desk, sofa and full bedroom suite along with black out curtains and blinds. Harmonious tones of blues, greys and blacks run throughout the space creating a calm yet dramatic space for him to enjoy.

“The service and dedication shown to us by Spruce Interiors was excellent in particular the time and effort that went into the renders ”

“Sarah has the patience of a saint as building your own house is a stressful business. The service and dedication shown to us by Spruce Interiors was excellent in particular the time and effort that went into the renders and floor plans which truly helped us visualise the final outcome even though the rooms were still a building site at the time.”
